I'm a Senior Data & AI Scientist at Sysco Labs — part of Sysco Corporation, the world's largest food distribution company — where I build production-grade machine learning systems for demand forecasting, supply chain optimisation, and AI governance at enterprise scale. Every model I ship is used by one of the world's most complex food supply chains, serving hundreds of thousands of customers across North America.
Alongside my corporate work, I've spent years committed to transforming how data science is taught in Sri Lanka. I designed and led the first modern BI & Analytics course at NIBM — building it from scratch as module leader and primary instructor. Through NexAI, my AI-native education platform, I run live cohort courses for professionals across Sri Lanka and the Gulf, and deliver free content to a growing YouTube community.
I grew up in Akkaraipattu, Eastern Province — a small town far from the tech hubs of Colombo. That background shapes everything I do. I know firsthand what it means to navigate a data career without a clear roadmap, and it's why I show up — in classrooms, on Zoom, at university workshops — to make sure the next generation has a better path than I did. With a BSc from the University of East London and an MSc in Data Science from the University of Peradeniya, and over 10 years across banking, insurance, and enterprise tech, I bring real industry depth into every room I enter.
